Annabel Bello has worked in public education for 20 years. She taught students with special needs in different schools in the Philippines and in North Carolina. She dedicated more than half of her life to teaching students with different exceptionalities. Her passion to provide her students a variety of learning experiences on the basis on student needs, strengths, readiness, interests and learning profile so her students can demonstrate their knowledge has earned her numerous awards. Her Northeast Leadership Academy (NELA) internship is at Belmont Elementary School. Annabel received her undergraduate degree in Secondary Education from Quezon Memorial Colleges and she is just a thesis away from her M.A. Ed in Special Education from the University of the Philippines- Diliman. Outside of professional interests, she cooks, reads with her three children, and volunteers her service to her friends. She enjoys living in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina with her husband for 17 years together with their children.
